Big Snow

dec26.jpgWe had two smaller groups out today (thankfully) in our fresh new snow. We have had three good snow events over the last 5 days and the sidewalks are getting a bit challenging with a big group. I tried both Pam and Musher’s Secret in the afternoon group and both worked well without any indication of sensitive paws.

A photographer followed us for a good stretch of the walk today. He said that he got some great shots of the morning group. If you make it to the website, I would love to see copies. Send me a note on my email account; curtis@citizenkanine.net.

We have had somewhere around a foot of snow over the last week and the city continues to do a great job of keeping the public walks open around the lakes. The city sidewalks, which are the responsibility of homeowners, are a different matter. With holiday travel, there are long stretches that could use shoveling. More snow predicted for later this week!

40 dog miles Thursday (12/20) and 34 today for over 2,552 since tracking began.

How many dogs do you consider a “small group” and how many dogs do you consider a “large group”? Do you mix the larger breeds and the smaller breeds?
I have three Jack Russell Terriers that don’t often play well with others. I also have a Flat Coated Retriever that has been assimilated into “the pack” but the female Jack only tolerates him. How many miles a day do you run or walk the dogs and how many times a day do you walk or run the dogs? Thanks.
