Urban Wildlife

With lower temperatures we were able to get out two groups before my week away. The first group included a new participant, Brody. He is a big golden retriever who has shown some anxiety around other dogs. He was a champ today and after an initial introduction settled in next to Caddy and had a great walk and social recovery time. Once again we had a wonderful citizen who dispelled the notion the “my dog could never do that”.

It never ceases to amaze me the kinds of critters that show up in the city. The Great Blue Heron at left stood close to the shore as 6 dogs walked by. I stopped pulled the camera out, asked the dogs to sit and returned to take this photo.

44 dog miles today with 995 since tracking began
