A hot day and a new mix

Today we had a mix of high temps, humidity and new dogs to keep life interesting. I chose to keep a couple of dogs out of the group because of the heat. We slowed our pace down and provided plenty of water and numerous stops.

The cool down period at the coffee shop was much appreciated. While I will typically have a cup of coffee regardless of the temperature, it was a lemonade day. A regular patron at the coffee shop offered me a beer from his “trunk fridge” but I declined for fear that I would have had to curl up with the dogs and take a nap had I accepted.

A new link has been added to the page for the International Association of Canine Professionals. I was accepted as an associate member and am excited to join this organization. They offer great educational resources and an excellent ongoing dialog among dog professionals across the world.

28 dog miles today with 795 since tracking began.
